2nd Annual Gallery Show & Sale

NEOWTA members. This is a long email please read all the way to the bottom.
We are going to have our SECOND Gallery Show and Sale. It will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 22nd 23rd and 24th. Last year’s was a success and the same three things we needed last will make it a success again. If you will notice, the common ingredient in all three things is you our members.
1. Lots of wonderful wood turnings to show and sell – these need to be provided by you, our members. If the price is less than $20, the proceeds are all yours. This is to encourage a whole bunch of relatively inexpensive things. (We also hope that you will make a donation to the club a part of your proceeds – but it is not absolutely necessary.) If the price is above $20, you will receive 65% of the proceeds with the remaining 35% going to the association treasury. We need to have some tops to give away to the kids. For the items that you will bring we will need a list and the price is that you are asking. These will need to be brought to the April 19th regular meeting of the association. Your initials and the price will be placed on a removable sticker on the bottom of the piece. (We are looking into bar-coding the stickers.)
2. Lots of NEOWTA volunteers to help with parking, meet and greet, refreshments, and recording sales (using SQUARE). A special website has been set up so that you can see which time slots need to be filled for which kind of help. Click on this link – Volunteer for the Gallery Show & Sale! In blue letters at the left side of the page are the titles of additional pages that show time slots and names of people who have volunteered so far. There is a page for each of the following: parking, refreshments, meet and greet, sales, and pre-show set-up and media contacts. Click on that page title and you will go to the page which shows the time slots and names. The time slots indicate the hours which the show is expected to be open. To volunteer for a job in a time slot, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org telling me which day, which job, what time that you will be available to volunteer. I will update these tables on a daily basis. Please note that if you are viewing the tables on an iPad, iPhone, or Android device, you will need to click on “print page” at the bottom of the page, to see the entire table.
PS. You will also see on the first page a link to another page with a list of names and the number of pieces that they expect to bring. It will be helpful if you will send an email to me telling me how many items you expect to bring.
3. Lots and lots of people to come and view our work and hopefully buy things. Will need your help here also to tell everyone you know in any organization you belong to including your church, civic organization and any gossip club to which you may belong, about the show and the wonderful things they will see if they’ll come and spend an hour with us.
We hope to make this show and sale a success again this year. We expect that if it is an annual event, people in the Tulsa and surrounding communities can see the things that the NEOWTA members make and look forward to buying that Mother’s day, Graduation or Birthday gift. We hope that it will provide a growing revenue stream both for our members and for our association.
